Celtic Letters and Designs

(Return to: Gallery ) I’ve always loved drawing Celtic designs and letters!  It just seems to come naturally as I start with a simple shape or letter then add my own patterns and decoration to them. The Triskel or Triscillion has always drawn me naturally to it, I’m not sure why. I wear a ring on my right pinky that has this design, it called to me as I looked over the rows and rows of rings at a sidewalk vendor in Toronto Canada, and it’s never left my finger since! You can see this ring in some of my Goddesses paintings…try to look for it. I have read that this symbol, being from ancient pagan times, stood for the “Triple Goddess”; mother, maiden and cron. It represents a cycle of time, birth, prime and passing on…repeated over and over and there’s nothing more natural. Click on each picture to read more and see the full design. Please visit the Celtic Category of my SHOP to see note cards and many products with the designs on them.
