"Fall Field"
Oil on panel 8 x 10″ 2002 SOLD
I painted this one in my field, standing there with my wooden easel trying to work quickly because it was so cold. I wore gloves that you’d buy in a home improvement center, leather and the back being stretchy fabric for a close fit. As I finished up the painting it started to snow!
I can look at any of my Plein Air paintings (done outside on location) and remember just what it was like to be there, the weather, maybe what I saw.
