This is a portrait of my dear poet friend Jan Peter Scheffer, who has inspired me countless times through a tough period of my life. His poems are deep and meaningful with a twist of beauty and sometimes sadness, but most of the time love.
Many of my Goddess paintings I did while corresponding with him and we created our art together, he wrote poems for my paintings and I painted to his poems. It’s great to have other artist friends around you for inspiration, I find poetry to be very visually inspiring because when I hear a good poem or story, I always find my mind picturing how it happens. Then I want to paint it!
