“From Lordenshaw’s, Rothbury” / Watercolor

Rothbury area in Northumberland England. I painted this from Lordenshaw’s while sitting near the ancient cup and ring marked stones. This view looks over the beautiful farmland towards the Cheviot hills. It’s also the spot where my husband and I sat on our last day before I had to go back to the USA. This was before we were married and I was still coming over for extended visits, what a hard time that was! But just last week we visited the same spot, now married for many years and so happy that’s all in the past.
