“In the Air” / Watercolor Pencil

I did this watercolor pencil painting while flying to England for the first time. I had my trusty field painting kit with me and pulled it out while everyone was sleeping in the dark cabin. I looked out the window and saw the sun rising while the Big Dipper or Great Plow (as it’s called in the UK) was shining in the dark sky. It was such a magical experience for me!
