A little fairy is shaking snowflakes from her magical bag, while riding on the back of a hawk. I based it on a real hawk I used to see flying over my fields in Clarence, NY, the “Marsh Hawk”. This is the same as the Hen Harrier in the UK, the one I painted is a female.

I painted this to use as a Christmas card one year. Inside the card I put the words, “Have a Fairy Merry Christmas!”
