“Walk Near Rothbury” / Watercolor

Another beautiful walk near Rothbury, Northumberland! I just love the Cheviot hills around this quaint town and the criss cross of old hedges on the distant fields.

We sat on a big rock I think, to take a break and I was able to do this painting in my field sketchbook. I really liked the old stone wall with it’s holes you could see through, ready to topple if touched!
