“Spring Meadow” Oil    8″ x 10“

This was painted “Plein Air” at the end of April 2003.  The buds on these Hawthorns were just coming out at the tips of the branches as they reached over to touch each other in the middle, like family.

Sadly I don’t have a higher resolution scan of this painting. I left the painting, along with another of my first oil landscapes, at a gallery in Toronto Canada because they said they would put it up for me. I learned my lesson to always get written confirmation when dropping art off and leaving it, because both paintings disappeared and I had no way of getting compensated! You live and learn! But I will never forget how nice it felt when I actually did the painting on this gorgeous spring day in a wet field.
