I started this painting while sitting with my husband, on some huge boulders along the bank of this pretty burn or river. It’s part of a few fresh water springs that come down from the Scottish Border hills. We had hills all around us that were quite steep and as we sat Swallows and House Martins flew up and down the valley of the river. We also saw a family of Grey Wagtails on some rocks in the river, bobbing their tales and chasing flies. I hope to get a blog post done so I can share photos from what we saw and how it went that day.
