“Sundog in the Clouds” / Oil Pastels

I did this little study many, many years ago while at my son’s little league baseball practice. I was in the habit of carrying my little field kit as my purse, so it went everywhere with me. At this time I was using oil pastels, as I switch up what I have in my kit regularly. Have you ever seen a sundog? Do you know what a sundog is? Well it’s a really neat phenomenon of the sun catching a bit of mist to create a mini rainbow in the clouds. If you love looking at clouds a lot, like me, you will probably see one someday.
